This unexpecting bungalow on Commonwealth Avenue had a promising amount of square footage despite it's two bedroom, one bathroom specs. Without the budget to accommodate an addition, our greatest design challenge for this project was to reconfigure the existing floor plan to better utilize existing square footage from previous, poorly planned additions. By limiting the renovated square footage we were able to keep to a streamlined budget and retain the charm of the original details in the front portion of the home, while adding a master bedroom and bath, modern kitchen, new laundry closet and an outdoor living screened-in porch.
