This challenge of this small bungalow was to increase the square footage by adding a master suite and bedroom/office on the second floor, with specific direction from the homeowners to avoid dramatic changes to the front elevation of the home. By taking a central stair up the center of the house, towards the back, we were able to accomplish maximum impact on the inside with minimal impact from the curb.
